One of the most sought after ornamental grasses of recent times, Stipa ichu or Peruvian feather grass makes quite a show with its slender silvery white flower plumes and fine green foliage. Well drained soil is required for this plant to do well, its slightly arching and tactile form blends well with Gaura ‘Whirling Butterflies’ and other plants that prefer sunny, drier conditions.
