An upright perennial with striking scarlet flower spikes. Thrives in sunny positions ,where it blends well with ornamental grasses such as Stipa ichu and Deschampsia .Flowers appear in Spring and will often reappear in Autumn if given a light trim. Free draining soils are essential.
